Recreational Program for Grades K-8

We are gearing up for summer! Our 10U AMBUSH team is already full (tryouts were in the fall), but we are looking for our 12u and 14u players for the 2025 season! Ambush season starts when rec season ends and plays through the end of July on summer nights. More information at the registration link. 

Ambush tryouts for 12u/14u are set for April 27th and May 2nd! You must attend a tryout to be eligible. 

Join us at the Fieldhouse for Softball winter workouts on Sunday nights! This will be free of charge and clinic style. Register at the link below so we can get a weekly headcount and RSVP weekly through SportsEngine. Workouts start Sunday 1/5 at 7:30-8:45 and will repeat weekly through March (skipping Superbowl Sunday and Feb vacation Sunday). Each week will focus on a different softball element to keep things interesting. This is recommended for players age 9-14. See you there!

As parents, coaches, volunteers and board members, EGSL is committed to providing all girls with an experience that fosters positive self-esteem, teamwork, and individual growth. We are committed to providing a positive softball environment for each player, cultivate her love of the game by teaching her the rules of fast-pitch softball and developing her softball knowledge and skills. We measure success in terms of your daughter being excited to play softball year after year.

The EGSL offers a travel team for players who wish to improve their skills throughout the year. The Ambush Teams will play in the Summer Hock League as well as compete in local summer weekend tournaments. This year we have a 10U, 12U and 14U team planned! Tryouts for 10U were last fall, but 12U and 14U will be held late April/early May.
